Kanyakumari is always been abode of great architecture, deep inheritance and diverse culture, which can be seen in its rich history. The place was used for trade and import, as it had been stay behind under the possession of many dynasties namely the Nayaks, Cheras, Cholas, and Pandyas. The king of Venad, Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma had the great impact on the place. He ruled it from 1729 to 1758, and gave it the name of Southern Travancore. Later on, present Kanyakumari came under the Pandyas, and then the kings of Travancore until Britishers came to the India.

Vivekananda Rock Memorial
Vivekananda Rock Memorial is dedicated to Swami Vivekananda,
the great Indian monk of his times. It is most popular tourist destination not
only in India but in an international language. It is the congregation place of
three great oceans The Indian Ocean, an Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. The
memorial hall is based on two rocks. Vivekananda Rock Memorial Committee and
Shri Eknath Ranade made this built in 1970. Swami Vivekananda visited the place
for profound meditation and enlightenment. This structure comprises a Meditation
Hall (Dhyana Mandapam), Assembly hall (Sabha Mandapam), a wooden statue of
Swami Vivekananda in a standing posture, and a shrine or Sripada Madapam.

Guganathaswamy Temple
It is one of the oldest temples believed to be built 1000 year ago. It was made construct by the King Raja Raja Chola, one of the greatest royal leaders of the Tamil Chola Empire of India who ruled between 985 and 1014 CE. The temple has beautiful architecture located near to railway station which makes it easily accessible from many major cities in India.
Suchindrum village
It is one of the holiest places in India falls in Kanyakumari district. It is located at the distance of about 11 kilometers from Kanyakumari. Thanumalayan Temple is also suggested here which is other famous Hindu pilgrimage. The temple is dedicated to tridev (Three Hindu Deity): Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Brahma. This temple was built near the 17th century known for its beautiful structure.
