Hansheshwar Mahadev, best known as Hasuri Mahadev is an
ancient, not so popular temple in the district of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
It is near to town called Thalisain and is situated in village Hasuri, named
after the temple. The village is encircled with eye pleasing mountains, and villages
like Balsim, Paphdiyan, Dobrya, etc. Hasuri Mahadev Temple is one of the
ancient Hindu temples in the region, dedicated to Hansheshwar Mahadev an
incarnation of Lord Shiva. The temple is
quite popular pilgrimage place among the inhabitants of Thalisain region as
they have strong faith over the deity, Haseshwar Mahadev.
In ancient time, there was small field of a farmer in the
area, and during his agriculture work he mistakenly cut down a small Bedu
plant, a type of tree usually found sub Himalayan region. As he cut that down,
the plant started bleeding which made astonished the farmer. Same day night, he
had a dream where he got warned by diving power not cut the tree in the future and
worship it as symbol of deity Hansheshwar Mahadev. Soon villager developed the
place into the large temple where Lord Shiva is worshiped as Hansheshwar Mahadev.

How to Reach Hansheshwar Mahadev
The best way to reach Hansheshwar Mahadev is Thalisain from
where devotees can easily hire private taxis to the temple. There are many
shortcut way to reach temple by nearby villages.
