Lotus Temple a Place to Visit in Delhi
Bahai Lotus Temple or Lotus Temple is something that takes us out from this life and leaves in the world of imagination where we can stay for the whole life. History and Other Important Facts of Lotus Temple
Constructed in expressionist architectural style, Lotus
Temple was completed on 13th of November, 1986 and on 24th
December, 1986 it was made publically open. The temple took 10 years to be completed and over
800 workers worked to make it possible. The temple welcomes people of all
religion and can worship God without any limitations. Moreover, scripts of
other religions can also be chanted inside the temple, which is the other
example that shows the Bahai’s faith in the equality. Being prominent tourist place in India, Lotus Temple greets

Temple has seating capacity of 1300 devotees inside it. There are nine
reflecting pools have been built outside the temple to give it elegant look.
Timings of Bahai Lotus Temple
The timings of Bahai Temple are Tuesday to Sunday, Monday
remains closed. Tourists can visit the temple between the timings 9am to
5.30pm. Entry to the temple is free, without any permission. If you are fond of
clicking you will have to take permission from authority, available in Bahai Lotus Temple tourist information
center.
